On Nov. 19 the Embry-Riddle Black Sheep played their final preseason match of the year against Phoenix's R.F.C. Division 1 Men's Club. "The game was a good learning experience for are team" states Adam Perakis, "They are a division 1 team and we're a division 3, so we got to show the new players how a team plays after years of playing the game."

The team made a valiant effort against the men's league, even though their were down three starters, putting up 26 points for the game, scoring four tries and making three field goal attempts. Unfortunately it was not enough and they lost the game 50 to 26. "Despite losing, we played an outstanding game" Eric Large said. Both their starters and rookies held their ground, made some bone-crunching tackles, and the back line outran their back line because of their high-altitude and long, hard practices every week. They team also allowed most of their rookies to play in the second half of the game in order to get them more experience.

Next semester the team's regular season kicks off with an away game at Thunderbird Graduate School on Jan. 28. From there they play University of Arizona, Scottsdale Men's League, and Camelback Men's League. They will also participate in at least two tournaments.
