Members of volleyball team selected for award

JANUARY 31st, 2006 - Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Women's Volleyballers Susan Mongeon (Senior, OH) and Lauren Nouis (Junior, M) have been awarded prestigious recognition as 2005 Daktronics-NAIA Volleyball All-America Scholar-Athletes.

In order to be considered for this recognition, an athlete must be a junior at her university with a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average.

Susan met the academic standard, and she met the minimum statistical standards in 4 of the 6 categories (kills/game with 3.3, pass/game with 3.17, digs/game with 3.36, and blocks/game with .30). This is Susan's 3rd and final recognition as an All-America Scholar Athlete.

Lauren also met the academic standard, and she met the minimum statistical standards in 4 of the 6 categories (kills/game with 2.4, pass/game with 2.28, digs/game 2.26, and blocks/game with .60). This is Lauren's 1st recognition as an All-America Scholar Athlete.
