After the success of his first book The Tipping Point, Malcolm Gladwell follows up his first novel with another bestseller: Blink. Gladwell explores how split-second decisions are made and how we can make those decisions so fast and so often that we don't even know when we do it or how we do it.

This may sound confusing at first but Gladwell concisely creates real life examples to explain the process. He met one CEO who said that he would know a decision was a right one when he had a slight pain in his stomach. Some could consider this kind of decision-making process dangerous, but this particular CEO swore by that stomach pain as a reliable and helpful way to make important decisions.

Gladwell also asks and answers the question of why some people make the right split-second decisions and others make the wrong ones. He brings to light certain things and aspects of everyday situations we think about, without thinking.

Blink is a perfect book for those who want to discover what causes a person to make split-second decisions and what conditions allow us to make the right ones. This book matches if not surpasses all of Gladwell's previous works. If you want to know more all you have to do is Blink.
