After three years of faithful and ruthless service, you all will no longer have the luxury of us oppressing you with our beliefs as we go onto bigger and better places than Riddle. So, as we depart, we leave you with our views of what the coming onslaught from Hollywood will entail.

Curr's Predictions:

Curr's Prediction on Terrible Hollywood Movies
You all know it and we've stated it many times before, Hollywood can't come up with original ideas. They've even started to outsource to international film festivals to obtain good movies ("Crash" and the Toronto Film Festival). So where will Hollywood go for extra terrible movies with a plot derived from a generic madlib? That's a good question, and I'm afraid that they'll start remaking movies from as recently as 20 years ago, like "Top Gun." God help us.
Need more proof of Hollywood being unoriginal? How about "Garfield 2," "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift," "Miami Vice," "The Punisher 2," "The Grudge 2," "SAW III," "Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning," "Van Wilder 2," "Jackass 2," "The Santa Clause 3," and another "Friday the 13th" movie, all coming to a theatre near you in 2006. And there's also another Resident Evil movie, "Rush Hour 3," "Indiana Jones 4," "Sin City 2," a "Halo" movie, "Fantastic 4 2," "Transformers," "Simpsons movie," "Ocean's 13 2," Spider-Man 3," "Shrek 3," "Pirates of Caribbean 3," "Rocky Balboa," "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," and "Young Hannibal" in 2007. And, lastly, "Jurassic Park 4" and "Madagascar 2" are coming out in 2008. All of it is stuff that's based on previous work or has been done before. You have been warned.

Curr's Prediction on Crappy Remakes
To me there are two kinds of remakes, previous movie remakes ("King Kong," "War of the Worlds") and movies made from a television show ("Dukes of Hazzard," Mission Impossible"). I just wonder how long it will take for them to remake "Lost in Translation" or "The Matrix." In either case, that will be a dark day for humanity.
