Starting on Monday, August 14, 2006 the entire Eagle Volleyball Squad traveled to Prescott Valley to coach volleyball skills to nearly fifty 6th and 7th graders from Glassford Hill Middle School.

This was a four day project that ended in some really solid ERAU Eagle to GHMS Panther bonds. The intent for this project had two very important yet distinct aspects. The first was that to coach a sport usually aids in ones understanding the sport better as an athlete, so the ERAU players, while coaching were able to see a different side of the game and hopefully take that back with them. The second was to create excitement for attending Eagle home matches and a bond with the local community. "While only time will tell, I believe that both goals were reached," commented Coach Meyer.

The feedback from the players as well as the girls who attended the camp was very positive and exciting. "We had a great time and Head Coach Marty Boles was an amazing supporter while we took over practices for 1 hour each day for 4 days." The team is looking very solid this season and is excited to start matches. The Eagles first match will be on August 24th during the annual Eagle Volleyball Kickoff.
