Any college student knows the dangers involved in surfing the web in between classes. If you are not careful you could end up on Ebaum's World or Metacafe or perhaps worst of all College Humor. If you are lucky, you will only spend the afternoon browsing their video libraries. The unlucky will spend their nights as well. Each video you watch ends with a list of related videos that might interest you as well. It can quickly become and endless cycle.

It is important to be careful how many videos you send your friends. Many times it is all right to send the first video you find of a cat stuffing himself into an empty fishbowl, but avoid sending the next five videos you watch as well.

Each of these sites specializes in a particular brand of decadence. Metacafe is relatively benign with most of its videos showcasing human stupidity, things getting blown up, and people's pets. Usually the funnier something is the better rating it will receive, but there are several serious entries on here as well. The clip showing how contacts are made is particularly neat.

Ebaum's World specializes in toilet humor and even more human stupidity. There certainly are gems to be found here, but they are even harder to find than Metacafe's serious videos. People getting hit in the crotch and drunken people getting drawn on are a specialty here. In case videos are not enough to keep you occupied, the site offers a plethora of online games and activities. There is even a soundboard you can use to make prank phone calls with the voices of famous actors. Perhaps one of the most entertaining activities is the AOL Instant Messenger Bot, which will talk to your friends using an automated script with hilarious results.

Finally, College Humor is the low end of non-adult Internet media sites. Drunken people are highly popular here. Toilet humor rules supreme on College Humor. But there is a surprising portion of its media that is funny without being insulting or degrading. Many would argue that the insulting and degrading videos and pictures are the best ones, but that is for you, not me, to decide. This is definitely a not safe for work site due to many of its more adult areas, which include nudity and swearing.
